Jerome T. Clavers 90, Rochester, Indiana and formerly of Chilton, Wisconsin, passed away at 1:55 P.M. Monday May 16, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Culver, Indiana. He moved from Chilton, Wisconsin to Rochester, Indiana in 2008.

He was born on October 1, 1925 in Brillion, Wisconsin, the son of Theodore and Caroline (Steinbach) Clavers. On July 28, 1948 in Forest Junction, Wisconsin he married Florence Wiechman. She preceded him in death on November 11, 2010. He was a World War II veteran serving with the United States Army.

Mr. Clavers had worked as a Distribution Clerk/Estimator for Wisconsin Public Service Corporation for over forty years. He was a member of the Ebenzer United Church of Christ and the American Legion both of Chilton, Wisconsin. He enjoyed summer band concerts, walking in the park, reading, supporting the Green Bay Packers and was an avid bowler.

Survivors include his children, Robert Clavers, LaCrescent, Minnesota, Susan (Clavers) Garman, Rochester, Indiana, grandchildren, Brian and wife Kristie Garman, Huntington, Indiana, Michael Garman and girlfriend, Carrie Teller, Winder, Georgia, Sandra and husband Michael Hoffarth, Rochester, Indiana, great grandchildren, Galan and Liam Dishner, Huntington, Indiana, MaKenzie Garman, Huntington, Indiana, Christopher and Isaac Garman, West Lafayette, Indiana, sister, Lorraine (Clavers) Giese, Brillion, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Francis Clavers and son-in-law, William Garman.

Memorial services will take place at 3:00 P.M. Saturday May 28, 2016 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Chilton, Wisconsin, with interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Chilton, Wisconsin. Friends may visit from 2:00 P.M.-3 :00 P.M. Saturday May 28, 2016 at the church. Arrangements by Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana.
