Betty J. Sutton Tignor 81, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 8:50 A.M. Tuesday July 12, 2016 at Life Care Center of Rochester.

She was born on June 7, 1935 in Champaign, Illinois, the daughter of Russell and Catherine O. (Reed) Davisson. She married Eugene J. Sutton on May 28, 1960 in Rochester, Indiana and he preceded her in death on May 20, 1995. On July 13, 2002 in Rochester, Indiana, she married Clarence A. Tignor. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2008.

Mrs. Tignor had worked as a nurse aide at Woodlawn Hospital, Life Care Center and had also worked at Topps Uniforms all of Rochester. She had attended the Hillcrest Baptist Church and in her spare time she enjoyed painting, ceramics, needlepoint, art and anything involving crafts.

Survivors include her children, Jeff and wife Elaine Sutton, Fulton, Indiana, Randy and wife Chris Sutton, Rochester, Indiana, Rick Sutton, Rochester, Indiana, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three great- great grandchildren, sister, Darlene Ecker, California, brother, John Edward Davisson, Arkansas, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant grandchildren and sisters, Thelma Bohling and Patricia Bachtold.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday July 16, 2016 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana with Pastor Don Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 4- 8 P.M. Friday and one hour prior to service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com
