I worked with Jan at American a home Foods. She befriended me when I started work there and most of the ladies ignored me and she realized I was feeling very lost. We became good friends even after we left there and she moved to New Mexico. I babysat Inky her black cat once while they went on vacation. I still have the earnings she gave me for doing that. She was a kind and intelligent lady-always a lady - a very classy one. I did send her a card when they put an anniversary picture in the LaPorte paper but unfortunately she did not remember me. It made me sad but I having worked as a Psych nurse I understood that. I remember how much it hurt her when she talked to me about losing Vincent in a car accident. I also remember how much she loved Norman and Debbie. She always talked about them. I am sad that she is gone from us. I will keep you in my prayers always. She was a special friend. I am younger (74) but we had so much in common. She meant alot to me always. God bless you.
