Gloria E. Knox 79, Rochester, Indiana, went to her eternal home at 12:33 P.M. Saturday September 24, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on July 28, 1937 in Kewanna, Indiana the daughter of Ola Eaton and Maude Irene (Cox) Alspach.

Gloria received her associate degree in business from Ivy Tech and had worked for various retail stores in Rochester, including, Walgreen’s, 3D Department Store and had also worked as a corporate secretary for Pike Lumber in Akron, Indiana. She retired from Rochester City Dray as a log auditor. She was a member of Faith Outreach Center, former member and officer of the Lioness Club, CASA volunteer for many years, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Women of the Moose and early in life had been a professional roller- skater. In her spare time, she was an avid seamstress and enjoyed crafts, crocheting and collecting Longaberger baskets.

Survivors include her children, Angel and husband Travis Skidmore, Rochester, Indiana, Pamela and husband David Daulton, Rochester, Indiana, grandchildren, Debby Gauthier, Lincoln, Nebraska, Thomas “T.J.” and wife Rose Miller Jr., Rochester, Indiana, Catherine Rhein, Rochester, Indiana, Krystle Daulton, New Castle, Indiana, Selly and husband Travis Campbell, Rochester, Indiana, Krystopher and wife Hillary Daulton, Rochester, Indiana, Daniel Jr, Rochester, Indiana, six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ola Alspach and Maude Nutt, sons, Daniel J. Miller Sr., Thomas J. Miller Sr., and brother, James Snyder.

Memorial service will be at Noon Wednesday September 28, 2016 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. to Noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marian Hoogenboom Care House, Goshen, Indiana.
