Deepest sympathy to the family & friends. Mr McMillen was my guidance counselor at North Miami. I've always had a great respect of him and admired the patience he had with teenagers. The positive effect he had on youth would be hard to measure. A good man indeed.

Dear Pat, Colleen, Brad, Sheila, and the younger McMillen family members,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences at the passing of such a good man, someone who touched so many lives with his kindnesses. We first taught together at North Miami when I was a rookie teacher, and Bill was so supportive and encouraging. His calm exterior and low-key manner went a long way to quell so much of the students' drama that he saw every day. And then we both made the move to RHS, where it was so reassuring to know that he was in the office when students needed a referral. He was the father figure that so many of them needed, and I'm sure today there are graduates working and living out their lives successfully because Bill was there at a crucial time, offering a shoulder to lean on. With his experiences in farming he had a down-to-earth approach that made him so valuable in the school setting.
May God continue to bless your family, and may good memories sustain you in the days ahead.
In sympathy and love,
Sue

Bill - I only had the pleasure of meeting you once, but I'm so blessed to have done so. You and Pat were so gracious that morning considering I'd shown up at your house at midnight needing a place to stay. I've learned so much about you from Brad and even more reading the messages of condolences. What a life well lived!

Pat and family - My heart goes out for your loss. May God's peace and strength surround you today and every day.

Love,
Steffanie

I will always remember Mr.Bill.
He helped me get thru some really tough times on school. He was always supportive and had a way of getting thru to us kids in school.
As an adult, I would see Mr. BILL at different places, Say HI and just smile inside knowing it's because he cared so much for us kids in school that made a big difference in our lives.
Rip Mr. BILL

We are so sorry to learn of Bill's passing. He was such a wonderful person. I grew up in the Woodrow School neighborhood and I think if I remember right his family lived out that way. God has received a wonderful man into his arms.
