Wonita Joan Hart

Wonita Joan Hart 85, Logansport, Indiana, and formerly of Macy and Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 9:20 A.M. Thursday October 22, 2020 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Logansport.

She was born on March 11, 1935 in Rochester, Indiana, the daughter of John Arnold and Emlene (Zartman) Bell. On February 7, 1959 in Southwick, Massachusetts, she married Howard R. Hart Sr. They enjoyed fifty one years of marriage before he passed away on April 6, 2010.

An accomplished artist, Joan graduated from the Art Institute of Indianapolis and had worked as a commercial artist. She had been an active member of the Macy- Allen Township Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary over the years. She enjoyed working in water colors, camping with her family and loved being a mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Howard (Barb) Hart Jr., Rochester, Indiana, Pam (Mike) Frush, Bloomfield, Indiana, Paul (Anne) Hart, Macy, Indiana, Miriam (Juan) Hart-Chavarria, Miramar, Florida, grandchildren, Sara Frush, Warsaw, Indiana, Tara Frush, Etna Green, Indiana, Alicia (Paul) Pe, Logansport, Indiana, Zachary (Courtney) Hart, Akron, Indiana, Samuel Hart, Macy, Indiana, ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Stephen Gordon Bell and Arnold Eugene Bell, sister, Joyce Bell, daughter-in-law, Sandy Hart, and two great grandchildren, Serenity and Bella.

Graveside services will take place at Plainview Cemetery, Macy, Indiana, at a later date. Joan liked to donate to people in need, in her memory, memorial contributions may be to donor’s favorite charity that helps people in immediate need.
