William Mack Haimbaugh 85, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 6:30 P.M. Sunday, December 24, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at his home.
Mack was born on May 14, 1938 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Alonzo and Ida (Scott) Haimbaugh. On August 1,1959 at the Olive Branch Church in Fulton, Indiana, he married Carol Joy Champ and she survives.
Mack had spent his life as a farmer and District Sales Manager for Garst Seed Company. He was a member of the Yorktown Road Church of Christ, Logansport, Indiana. Mack enjoyed gardening, agriculture, and playing games with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Carol J. Haimbaugh, Rochester, Indiana, daughters, Wendy McIndoo, Rochester, Indiana, Peggy (Rowdy) Carper, Winchester, Virginia, Rosetta (Randy) Podell, Winamac, Indiana, grandchildren, Renee (Gary) Boschain, Louisville, Kentucky, Peggy Sue (Brian) Riffe, Kokomo, Indiana, Joshua McIndoo, Muncie, Indiana, Anna (Joey) Famiglietti, Winchester, Virginia, Chelsea (Jake) Hayes, Rockville, Maryland, Krista (Dylan) Diaz, Lyons, Colorado, Kyle (Sarah) Podell, Idaville, Indiana, Karl Podell, Winamac, Indiana, nine great grandchildren, several "great granddogs", brothers, Alonzo Haimbaugh Jr., Florida, Harold Haimbaugh, Florida, David Haimbaugh, Florida, sisters, Addie Fields, Florida, Nancy Rehm, Florida, Laura Lee Arnold, Florida, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Friday, December 29, 2023 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Burial to follow in Bethlehem Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery, Twelve Mile, Indiana. Friends may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday December 28, 2023 and one hour prior to service Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Guardian Angel Hospice, Kokomo, Indiana.
