Virginia Risner

Virginia F. Risner, 81, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 12:18 P.M. Monday, September 19, 2022 at Warsaw Meadows Care Center, Warsaw, Indiana.

She was born on March 9, 1941 in Truman, Arkansas, the daughter of Chester Davis and Alberta (Baker) Davis Schnell. She was raised by her mother and step-father William Schnell.

Virginia had worked for Walker’s Mufflers, Culver, Indiana, Rochester Metal Products and retired from Viscase in Kentland, Indiana. She was known for her strong work ethic and raising six children as a single mother. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, spending time with her family and her cat and Yorkie.

Survivors include her children, Tammy (Timothy) Tilton, Leesburg, Indiana, Sherry Risner, Murrells Island, South Carolina, Debi (Bryan) Johnson, Cassopolis, Michigan, Opy Rogers, Navarre, Florida, daughter-in-law, Tracy Risner, Rochester, Indiana, grandchildren, Crystal (Bobby) Dugan, Heather (Nathan) Coy, Eryn (Jason) Roberts, Shelbie Risner, Ty (Jesica) Tilton, Justin Smith, Cruiz Risner, Jeff Risner, Dakota (Lianna) Risner, Skyler Risner, thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Alberta Schnell, sons, Dean Adams, Fritz Risner, granddaughter, Amanda Adams, great grandchildren, Tayvin Tilton and Violet Risner.
