Vera L. Utter

Vera L. Utter 69, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 8:19 P.M. Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, Indiana.

She was born on October 9, 1955 in Rochester, Indiana, the daughter of James W. and Mary E. (Paxton) Lyons. She had married Devon Lyle Utter and he preceded her in death on February 13, 2019.

Vera had worked at the Eaton Corporation in Winamac, Indiana, Danco Anodizing in Warsaw, Indiana, and retired from Freedman Mobility Seating in Leiters Ford, Indiana.

In her spare- time, she enjoyed traveling, especially to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee and North Carolina, hiking, gem mining in North Carolina and enjoying all the nature in her back yard.

Survivors include her son, Dustin Utter, Rochester, Indiana, grandson, Deonte Lyons, Macy, Indiana, great granddaughter, Aurora Lyons, Leiters Ford, Indiana, step-children, Anthony (Sarah) Utter, Lupburg, Germany, Larry (Jessica) Utter, Covington, Texas, step grandchildren, brother, Michael (Lois) Lyons, Rochester, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marrianne Elizabeth Lyons and sister, Nancy Van Lue.
