Tony Lee Balsley 59, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 9:45 A.M. Monday, October 25, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on June 17, 1962 in Bremen, Indiana, the son of Leonard and Janice (Swartz) Balsley. After graduating from Triton High School, he served with the United States Army, spending two years stationed in Germany. On February 21, 1987 in Bourbon, Indiana, he married Kimberly Lang and she survives.
Tony had worked in the produce department for Kroger’s Grocery Store. Previously he had worked for Wirecraft in Bourbon, Lear Corporation and Nisco, both of Bremen, and Royalty Roofing in Warsaw, Indiana. In his spare time he enjoyed collecting receipts, cooking on the grill, D & D gaming and loved dragon’s collectables.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Balsley, Rochester, Indiana, children, Janice Balsley, Rochester, Indiana, Shy Balsley, Rochester, Indiana, Carley Balsley, Andrews, Indiana, Remmy Balsley, Rochester, Indiana, grandson, Nathan Lee Garrett, Andrews, Indiana, brothers, Marty (Denise) Heckaman, Etna Green, Indiana, Kim (Jane) Heckaman, Bremen, Indiana, Rex (Leanne) Heckaman, Nappanee, Indiana, Terry (Barb) Heckaman, Michigan, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his mother Janice Balsley in 1968, his step-mother, Gelenice Balsley who helped raise him, father, Leonard Balsley, and sister-in-law, Barb Heckaman.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Burial will be at a later date at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, Indiana. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com
