Thomas Miller

Thomas D. Miller 75, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 4:45 A.M. Sunday July 21, 2019 at Life Care Center of Rochester.

He was born on June 27, 1944 in Rochester, Indiana, the son of Doc H. and Louise (Haggerty) Miller. On December 2, 1972 in Rochester, Indiana, he married Peggy A. Mull. She preceded him in death on January 15, 2016.

Mr. Miller along with his brother Bob, operated Miller’s Bayside Marina for many years. He later retired from Murray Equipment of Fort Wayne, Indiana after twenty years of service. He had been a member of the Eagles Lodge, Elk’s Lodge, enjoyed playing golf, following Chicago Cubs Baseball and local high school sports.

Survivors include his children, Betsy and husband David Kirk, Brookville, Indiana, Karen Miller and husband Shawn Slagle, Muncie, Indiana, Andrew and wife Laura Miller, grandchildren, niece, Amber Basham, Rochester, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert L. Miller, Tona “Tony” Miller and step-mother, Evelyn Miller.

Memorial services will be at 6:30 P.M. Friday July 26, 2019 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made Rochester High School Athletics Booster Club.
