Ruby M. Reed

Ruby M. Reed 84, Peru, Indiana, and formerly of the Fulton area, passed away at 1:05 P.M. Monday June 14, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Peru, Indiana.

She was born on November 6, 1936 in Flora, Indiana, the daughter of Robert and Violet (Hunnicut) Simmons. On July 26, 1979 in Nashville, Tennessee, she married Don Dale Reed. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2015.

Ruby had been a homemaker. She had been active over the years with the Fulton County 4-H, having worked the County Fair for many years, enjoyed sewing, crafts and cooking.

Survivors include her children, Deanna Gibson, Louisiana, Rita Lynn Brown, Indianapolis, Indiana, William Brown, Mexico, Indiana, Phyllis Jean Brown, Sheridan, Indiana, Gary Lee Brown, Kempner, Texas, Rhonda Coby, Peru, Indiana, thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, sister, Roberta Evans, Madison, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Wayne Lee Brown, and brother, Robert Simmons Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday June 18, 2021 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Fulton, Indiana. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Indiana. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com
