Rosella Felts

Rosella Felts 86, Silver Lake, Indiana and Sebring, Florida, passed away at 10:04 P.M. on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring, Florida.

Rosella was born on Thursday July 21, 1938 in Winamac, Indiana, the daughter of Charles and Florence (Cline) Murfitt.

Rosella married Roger L. Sander on February 3, 1957 in Leiters Ford, Indiana. He preceded her in death on September 15, 1961.

On April 4, 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky, she married Dale M. Felts. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2009.

Rosella after graduating from Leiters Ford High School, she was a stay home mother and worked later at Chamberlains in Akron, Indiana. Rosella and Dale later opened and operated the Felts Snack Shoppe in Akron, Indiana. Rosella was well known for her donuts, cinnamon rolls and especially her caramel nut rolls. She had been a farmer’s wife and gardener as well as a waitress at Bob Evans in Warsaw, Indiana and Bob Evans in Sebring, Florida. After retirement she had also worked for Forte Residential in Plymouth, Indiana. She had been a volunteer at Mason Health Care Center, Warsaw, Indiana, and was a member of the Evergreen Rebekah Lodge #57, Royal Center Order Eastern Star # 375 and had attended the Akron Church of God and Olive Branch Church. She was voted this years President of the Leiters -Aubbeenaubee Township Alumni class. She enjoyed making lap robes for Mason Health Care, playing the organ, euchre, watching mystery movies, sitting in her recliner and watching the lake and the swans. She also enjoyed playing pegs and jokers and enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel as well as being an Elvis fan. Rosella made friends at her residence in Silver Lake, Indiana at her Diamond Lake club house as well as Lake Damon club house in Avon Park, Florida.

She is survived by her children, Patricia (Jeffery) Stoops, Plainfield, Indiana, Dairl (Nancy) Sander, Akron, Indiana, Melinda (Dave) Pettet, Brook, Indiana, Brian Felts, Avon Park, Florida, Neil (Ellen) Felts, Rochester, Indiana, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Dryer, grandchild, Landen Felts, sisters, Charlotte Chapman, Mary Ricks, and brothers Edward Murfitt, Guy Murfitt.

Friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Friday, August 30, 2024 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 P.M.
