Rose Marie Lemmon 85, Lucerne, Indiana, passed away at 12:49 P.M. Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at her daughter, Carla Bright’s residence, in Kokomo, Indiana.
She was born on January 17, 1938, in Kokomo, Indiana, the daughter of Alvin Lewis and Stella (Heinemann) Butler. On April 15, 1956 in Logansport, Indiana, she married Donald J. Lemmon. He preceded her in death on November 14, 1989.
Rose worked along with her husband on the family farm throughout her life. She had attended the First Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed spending winters in Florida, shopping and gardening.

(Melissa) Lemmon, Reading, Michigan, grandchildren, Justin Rutledge, Greenfield, Indiana, Bryan (Brittany) Rutledge, Greenfield, Indiana, Jennifer (Thomas) Oswald, Otterbein, Indiana, Lindsey Bright (fiancé Scott Bultman Jr.) , Whitestown, Indiana, Micaela (Kyle) Reed, Westfield, Indiana, Carl (Lindsey) Lemmon, LaGrange, Indiana, Alexandra (Martin) Lantz, Milford, Indiana, Kalyn (David) Richardson, Troy, Michigan, Jacob Lemmon, Reading, Michigan, Andrew Lemmon, Reading, Michigan, twelve great grandchildren, Braydon Rutledge, Bryson Rutledge, Mia Rutledge, Bryce Smith, Hayden Smith, Ella Smith, Sam Oswald, McKenzie Oswald, Collins Reed, Connor Lemmon, Lorelai Lemmon, Reese Richardson, sister, Phyllis Lemmon, Lucerne, Indiana, brothers, Harry (Vicki) Butler, Logansport, Indiana, Paul (Brenda) Butler, Cutler, Indiana, step brother, Gerald Dillman, Delphi, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Bradley James Bright, great granddaughter, Carlee Sue Reed, sisters, Linda Magnett and Sue Wyrick, brother, Robert Butler, step brothers Kenneth Dillman, Dallas Dillman, Richard Dillman, Myron Dillman, step sister Jana Culp and step mother Lucille Plank Dillman Butler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday October 7, 2023 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
