Robert A. Ault 82, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 9:49 P.M. Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Woodlawn Health, Rochester, Indiana.
He was born on May 3, 1942 in Plymouth, Indiana, the son of Charles and Mary (Swihart) Ault. After graduating from Argos High School in 1960, Robert enlisted in the Indiana National Guard and obtained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant.
In his professional career, he worked as a lineman for Sprint, spent over ten years at R.R. Donnelly in Warsaw, Indiana and worked for over twenty years at Lobdell Emery, Argos. He had also been a Singer Sewing Machine Repairman. He had been a member of the N.R.A. and the Walnut Church of the Brethren, Argos. In his spare- time he enjoyed reading, anything pertaining to history, politics, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his daughter, Angela (Ethan) Haines, Rochester, Indiana, son, Charles (Stephanie) Ault, Tippecanoe, Indiana, grandchildren, Micheal Donahue, Warsaw, Indiana, Noah (Shelby) Ault, Silver Lake, Indiana, Keegan Laird, Rochester, Indiana, Ayden (Isabella) Ault, Silver Lake, Indiana, Aubrey (Cameron) Skiles, Rochester, Indiana, Alyssa Haines, Silver Lake, Indiana, ten great grandchildren, soon to be twelve, and brother, Larry Ault, Huntington, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Anthony “Tony” Ault.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Monday, January 20, 2025 at the Walnut Church of the Brethren, 5975 19th Road, Argos, Indiana. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Monday, January 20, 2025 at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Fulton County Veterans’ Honor Guard.
