Richard Arthur Books 56, Huntington, Indiana and formerly of Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 5:20 P.M. Thursday August 13, 2020, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on June 27, 1964 in Rochester, Indiana, the son of Ervin Eli and Phyllis June (Eberle) Books.

Mr. Books had worked in food service for many years as well as scrapping. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and had attended the Macy Christian Church, Macy, Indiana.

Survivors include his siblings, Harry S. (Veronica) Books, Akron, Indiana, Honey Marlene (Loren) Pruitt, Warsaw, Indiana, Aloralee (Don) Bromley, Huntington, Indiana, Roxanna M. (Paul) Carter, Peru, Indiana, Sandy K. Shockey, Peru, Indiana, Christina M. (Rodger) Drudge, Florida, Juneattea (Rick) May, Rochester, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 P.M. Friday August 21, 2020 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
