Rebecca M. Taylor 69, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 9:36 A.M. Saturday August 3, 2019, at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, surrounded by her loving family as she went home to be with Jesus.
She was born on April 21, 1950 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the daughter of Jesse Ault and Maggie E. (Hackney) Thomas. On July 14, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois, she married Eddie R. Taylor. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2011.
Mrs. Taylor had been a homemaker. She loved spending her time with her children and grandchildren. In her spare time she loved to listen to old country music, working coloring books for adults, and was an avid fan of the Hallmark Channel and HGTV.
Survivors include her children, Gary Taylor, Rochester, Indiana, Jeff Taylor, Columbia, Missouri, Paula and husband Jeff Holcomb, Karen Simpson, Rochester, Indiana, grandchildren, Lauren Taylor, Bakersfield, California, Phillip (Joline) Taylor, Rochester, Indiana,Rebecca (Chris) Allison, Santa Monica, California, John (Joni) Slater, Rochester, Indiana, Eddie (Alaina) Holcomb, Logansport, Indiana, Melissa (Dillon) Slater, Plymouth, Indiana, Corbin Slater, Plymouth, Indiana, Tabitha Simpson, Rochester, Indiana, great grandchildren, Arabelle Taylor, Rochester, Indiana, Aydin Taylor, Rochester, Indiana, Milo Taylor, Rochester, Indiana, Emma Taylor, Rochester, Indiana, Lilo Smith, Knox, Indiana, sisters, Joyce (Ramiro) Alonzo, Guadalejara, Mexico, Patricia Thomas, Kokomo, Indiana, brother, John Thomas, Knoxville, Tennessee, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Melissa Slater, son, Edward Taylor, granddaughter, Kirsten Taylor, sisters, Maggie Holt, Carolyn Cline, brothers, Pete Thomas, Gordon Thomas, Jesse Thomas and William Thomas.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday August 8, 2019 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 4-7 P.M.
