Mark D. Witherby 63, Berryville, Arkansas, passed away at 11:09 A.M. Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
He was born on September 3, 1962 in Melbourne Florida, the son of Earl and Betty (Inman) Witherby. On July 4, 1992 at the Beaver Dam United Methodist, Akron, Indiana, he married Cynthia Severns and she survives.
Mark was a general contractor most of his life, specializing in flooring, owning his own custom flooring business. He also enjoyed mechanic work which led him to his love of garden tractor pulling and truck pulling.
He enjoyed teaching his children how to hunt and fish, which led to an archery sponsorship for him and his daughter to compete in national events. In later years, Mark greatly enjoyed traveling across the country delivering RV's. He was truly a jack of all trades and taught his skills to his girls.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Witherby, Berryville Arkansas, daughters, Kaley Starr (Witherby) and husband Garrett Branaman, Mountain Home, Arkansas, Samantha Lynn (Witherby) and husband Shawn Robison, Fort Smith, Arkansas, mother, Betty Witherby, Sebastian, Florida, brothers, David and wife Jenny Witherby, Sebastian Florida, Tommy and wife Nida Witherby, Beverly Hills Florida, several nieces and nephews, and father-in-law, Dan Severns, Akron, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Witherby.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 10, 2026 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Athens Cemetery, Athens, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Online condolence may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com
