Larry Lee Earnest

Larry Lee Earnest 73, Knox, Indiana, passed away at 7:16 A.M. Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Northwest Health- Starke Hospital, Knox, Indiana.

He was born on January 27, 1952 in Knox, Indiana, the son of Floyd and Inez (Osborne) Earnest Sr. On May 4, 1984 in Plymouth, Indiana, he married Peggy L. Dickson and she survives.

Larry had worked for Rockwell Industries and had done recycling and metal scrapping. He enjoyed mowing his yard, fishing and watching western movies.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy L. Earnest, Knox, Indiana, children, Mary Lain, Rochester, Indiana, Inez Crittendon, Hamlet, Indiana, Ashley (Robert) Fultz, Lafayette, Indiana, Gabe (Fiance’ Samantha Fisher) Earnest, Knox, Indiana, step-son, Danny Earnest, Fort Wayne, Indiana, step-daughter, Katrina Sumpter, Kewanna, Indiana, numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren, siblings, Steve (Hazel) Earnest, Knox, Indiana, Mike Earnest, Knox, Indiana, Brenda (Terry) McDaniel, Knox, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Earnest, brothers, Floyd S. “Junior” Earnest Jr., Terry Earnest, sisters, Peggy L. Trusty and Linda Sue Jacobs.

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Burial will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com
