Katrina Cantrell

Katrina Cantrell 61, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 11:01 P.M. Friday July 2, 2021 at her residence.

She was born on August 15, 1959, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, the daughter of Luther and Beatrice (Powers) Shell. She grew up in the Prestonsburg area before moving to Paintsville, Kentucky in her early twenty’s. She had also lived in Florida for twenty years before moving to Rochester, Indiana in 2018.

Katrina had worked for Vista Products in Jacksonville, Florida and had also worked for a laundromat and movie theater. She loved to play bingo, tending to her flower gardens, helping and caring for others, and enjoyed watching murder and mystery shows, especially Criminal Minds, Law and Order, and Forensic Files.

Survivors include her son, Jamie L. (Madeana) Shell, Temple, Texas, grandchildren, Gabriel Shell, Temple, Texas, Kaylee Shell, Temple, Texas, brothers, James (Connie) Shell, Romulus, Michigan, Steven Shell, Macy, Indiana, Jack (Joyce) Shell, Betsy Layne, Kentucky, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Gladys Daniels, Virginia “Ginny” Freeman, Brenda Bradley, brothers, Robert “Junebug” Shell and Gregory Shell.
