Joseph "Joe" R. Bailey

Joseph “Joe” R. Bailey, 69, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 12: 53 P.M. Sunday, December 10, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on January 20, 1954 in Rochester, Indiana, the son of Curt and Audrey (Brown) Bailey.  Joe was employed at Biomet, currently Zimmer, in Warsaw, Indiana for the past twenty years and had also worked for Lobdell Emery for many years prior where he had served as Union President. In his younger days, he had worked at a gas station and for Pike Garage Doors. He enjoyed playing frisbee golf, rock collecting, crystals, loved cooking and entertaining friends and family.

Survivors include his children, Jennifer (Kory) Warstler, Syracuse, Indiana, Casey Bailey, Indiana, brothers, Thomas Bailey, Rochester, Indiana, Charles (Nancy) Bailey, Rochester, Indiana, Sheldon Bailey, Rochester, Indiana, Douglas Bailey, Rochester, Indiana,  sisters, Ann (Gary) Douponce, Winona Lake, Indiana, Pamela Bailey, Rochester, Indiana, Kimberly (Todd) Springer, Sarasota, Florida, grandchildren, Ripley White, Syracuse, Indiana, Parker Thompson, Rochester, Indiana, great grandchild, O’Rion Thompson, Rochester, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Roger Curt Bailey and grandson, Jesse Lee Bowers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
