Obituary
Joe D. Watson 59, Fulton, Indiana, passed away at 6:35 P.M. Monday, February 27, 2023, at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru, Indiana.
He was born on November 16, 1963 in Crown Point, Indiana the son of Joe Watson and Joan (DeHaven) Watson Floyd.
Joe served in the United States Marine Corps and the Indiana National Guard retiring after twenty years. He had worked as a correctional officer at the former Logansport Juvenile Detention Center. He had also served as a volunteer fireman and E.M.T. for Fulton/Liberty Township Fire Department as well as serving as a E.M.T. in Pulaski County. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his life partner, Shari Thalacker, Fulton, Indiana, children, Amanda (Kyle) Poff, Hamlet, Indiana, Haley (Tyler Coddington) Watson, North Judson, Indiana, grandchildren, Lliam, Shane, Tabitha, Sophia, Kyle Jr., Nathan and Arthur, sister, Tammy (Bob) Nollen, Lebanon, Ohio, step-father, Iran Floyd, DeMotte, Indiana, several aunts, uncles, cousins and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Watson and Joan Floyd.
