Jason D. Hounshell

Jason D. Hounshell 48, Tippecanoe, Indiana and formerly of Rochester, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly at 8:32 A.M. Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his home.

He was born on September 6, 1973 in Rochester, Indiana, the son of Forrest Dee and Arlene (Bathrick) Hounshell. He was a graduate of Rochester High School Class of 1992. Because of his love for music, he was in the Manitou’s swing choir and band.

On September 23, 2006, he married his best friend, Angie Swihart. From their union God’s gift of a son, Jayden D. was born.

Jason was the night supervisor at Sealed Power Corporation until their closing. Most recently he worked at Auto Zone in Rochester. Jason always put others before himself and always had a smile on his face.

Survivors include his wife, Angie Hounshell, Tippecanoe, Indiana, son, Jayden Hounshell, Tippecanoe, Indiana, mother, Arlene Hounshell, Rochester, Indiana, sisters, Cindy (Dave) Steininger, Rochester, Indiana, Penny (Don) Bills, Huntsville, Alabama, Debbie (Mike) Walter, Nappanee, Indiana, Jodi (Andrew) Fincher, Akron, Indiana, Holly (John) Fearnow, Rochester, Indiana, mother and father –in-law, J and Jerri Swihart, Palestine, Indiana, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
