Janet L. Ballinger

Janet L. “Dolly” Ballinger 81, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 12:12 P.M. Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, Indiana.

She was born on May 5, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Thurman and Lova (Snyder) Azbell.

Dolly retried from Shady Rest County Home in Plymouth, Indiana. She had been a member of the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary as a Golden Age Eagle. She loved to play euchre, bunco, and had been an accomplished bowler traveling across the state and areas participating in numerous bowling tournaments throughout her life.

Survivors include her children, Alden (Judy) Ballinger, Watervliet, Michigan, Don (Sarah) Ballinger, Rochester, Indiana, Jim Ballinger, Lakeville, Indiana, William (Kathy) Ballinger, Bremen, Indiana, Trina Kucera, Indiana, Regina Fogelsanger, Rochester, Indiana, Patches (Robin) Conley, Tennessee, twenty grandchildren, several great grandchildren, brother, Wendell Azbell, North Vernon, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Wendy Nolen, grandson, Thomas Perkins, four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Monday January 24, 2022 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
