Howard M. Sowl Jr.

Howard M. Sowl Jr. 92, Avon, Indiana, passed away at 10:55 A.M. Friday September 24, 2021, at Countryside Meadows, Avon, Indiana.

He was born on August 27, 1929 in Beloit, Wisconsin, the son of Howard M. and Fanny T. (Clegg) Sowl Sr. On December 20, 1986 at the Speedway Baptist Church, Speedway, Indiana, he married Sandra K. (Beeker) Moyes and she survives.

Howard was a veteran serving with the United States Air Force. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer and had attended Baptist and Christian Churches over the years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed working at the golf course in his retirement years.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra K. Sowl, Avon, Indiana, step-sons, Todd (Ramona) Moyes, Crawfordsville, Indiana, Kirk (Allison) Moyes, Avon, Indiana, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Memorial Services will be conducted at Noon Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Ben Davis Christian Church, 701 S. High School Road, Indianapolis, Indiana.
