Helen K. Holiday

Helen K. Holiday 82, Peru, Indiana, and formerly of Fulton County, Indiana, passed away at 1:15 A.M. Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Blair Ridge Health Campus, Peru, Indiana.

She was born on October 19, 1940 in Fulton County, Indiana, the daughter of Eldrith and Eloise L. (Mow) Cook. On September 18, 1960 in Fulton County, Indiana, she married Richard W. Holiday and he survives.

Helen graduated from Richland Center High School and attended Manchester College. She worked for the Farmers and Merchant Bank in Rochester and was secretary for the Peru/Miami County Chamber of Commerce for eight years. She had also worked for NIPSCO for four years and had been an Avon Representative for over forty- five years.

Helen was a member of the Peru Grace Brethren Church where she taught Sunday School classes for children and was nursery coordinator for over twenty- five years. She was also a member of the church choir and served on the Christian Education Commission as well as the Care Commission at church.

Survivors include her husband, Richard W. Holiday, Peru, Indiana, children, Susan (Mitch) Cariaga, Highland, California, Beth (Les) Slough, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, daughter-in-law, Vickie Holiday, Nappanee, Indiana, grandchildren, Kipton (April) Cariaga, Taylor (Joselyn) Cariaga, Molly (Ryan) Donlon, Abby (Channing) Sailer, Shelby Cariaga, Clayton Holiday, Devion Shipman, Lindsey (Luke) McFadden, Erin Slough, Morgan Slough and Lillian Slough, twelve great grandchildren, sister, Anne (Loy) Mork, Rochester, Indiana, brother, Loyd Cook, Nekoosa, Wisconsin, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Daniel Holiday who passed away on October 12, 2023, sister, Janet (Cook) Nier and sister-in-law, Dolly Cook.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Peru Grace Brethren Church, 430 S. Broadway Avenue, Peru, Indiana, 46970. Friends may visit from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow services at the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Indiana.
