Gene L. Robinson

Gene L. Robinson 77, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 11:45 A.M. Sunday November 11, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on May 16, 1941 in Winamac, Indiana, the son of Roy and Naomi (Swing) Robinson. On June 22, 1969 at the Monon United Methodist Church, Monon, Indana, he married Elizabeth Raines and she survives.

Mr. Robinson had owned and operated Robinson Implements Minneapolis Moline Dealership for many years in Francesville, Indiana. He had also worked many years as a diesel mechanic. He served with the United States Army Reserves and was a member of the First Christian Church where he had served as a Deacon. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling and water sports.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Robinson, Rochester, Indiana, son, Troy Leroy Robinson, Logansport, Indiana, daughter, Tracy (Jared) Luster, Houston, Texas, grandchildren, Austin Smith and Marissa Robinson, both of Logansport, Indiana, Jonah Luster, Lizzie Luster, and Mira Luster, all of Houston, Texas, sister, Kay Koebcke, Sarasota, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday November 16, 2018 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana, with Rev. Mike Van Heyningen officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Thursday and one hour prior to service Friday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday November 16, 2018 at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville, Indiana.
