Dottie Marie Nixon

Dottie Marie Nixon 70, South Whitley, Indiana, passed away at 8:30 A.M. Monday February 5, 2018 at her residence.

She was born on July 19, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Robert and Laura Miller. On May 29, 1976 in Rochester, Indiana, she married Michael J. Nixon and he survives.

Dottie was a graduate of Ben Davis High School, Indianapolis and had a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. She had worked as an accountant for many years at Fox Products in South Whitley. She attended Christ’s Covenant Church in Winona Lake, Indiana for over thirty years and had attended the Cornerstone Grace Church in South Whitley. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening, reading, playing golf with her husband and enjoyed finding that good bargain.

Survivors include her husband, Michael J. Nixon, South Whitley, Indiana, children, Tony and wife Stacey Hausman, Mooresville, Indiana, Troy Hausman, Lebanon, Indiana, Jonathan Nixon, South Whitley, Indiana, four grandchildren,Brent Hausman, Axel Hausman, Trey Hausman and Jocelyn Nixon, mother, Laura Miller, Frankfort, Indiana, sister, Helen “Jeanne” and husband Steve Howell, Kokomo, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday February 8, 2018 at Christ’s Covenant Church, 2090 E. Pierceton Road, Winona Lake, Indiana with Pastors Edward Robertson and Rod Valentine officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Wednesday February 7, 2018 at Lakeland Christian Academy, 1093 S. 250 East, Winona Lake, Indiana and one hour prior to service at the Church.
