Dennis L. Freeland

Dennis L. Freeland 66, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 2:15 A.M. Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Stillwater Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on July 2, 1958 in Lafayette, Indiana, the son of Harry Ellsworth and Virginia C. (Crisswell) Freeland.

Dennis had worked for Nanshan America AAT and DeFouw Chevrolet both in Lafayette, Indiana. He was currently working for O’Reilly Auto Parts Store in Rochester. Dennis had been a racecar driver running late models at dirt tracks as well as figure eight racing, capturing a title in 2014 at Kokomo Speedway, Kokomo, Indiana. He was a member of the American Legion and was ana avid auto racing fan.

Survivors include his brother, Gerald Freeland, Lafayette, Indiana, and companion, Ali Kosicki, Rochester, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents.
