David Scott Hatfield 47, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 11:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Indiana University Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Scott was born on October 4, 1974 in Goshen, Indiana, the son of David and Rosa (Constant) Hatfield. He grew up in the Mentone, Indiana, area, graduating from Tippecanoe Valley High School where he had played basketball and football. On September 20, 1998 in Warsaw, Indiana, he married Dawn Hoemig and she survives.
Early in his life he was an Emergency Medical Technician in Mentone, Indiana. He spent many years working in emergency management with the Bastrop County, Texas and Caldwell County, Texas Sheriff’s departments as a Dispatcher. After working in Texas, he moved to the State of Washington. There he worked for the Eastside Public Safety Communications Agency in Redmond, Washington, where he managed the infrastructure of communications for 911. He had been a member of ABATE, enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn Hatfield, Rochester, Indiana, children, Tech Sgt., Tayler (Stormy) Hatfield, South Carolina, Logann Hatfield, Rochester, Indiana, Jordan Hatfield, Rochester, Indiana, Joshua, Hatfield, Muncie, Indiana, grandson, Enzo Ponte, Rochester, Indiana, parents, David and Rosa Hatfield, Andrews, Indiana, sister, Donna Fisher, Texas, twenty three nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Trina Hatfield.
