David S. Fincher 61, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 6:08 A.M. Wednesday September 30, 2020, at his residence.
He was born on February 28, 1959 in Rochester, Indiana, the son of Joseph E. and Patsy Lou (Calloway) Fincher Jr. On May 23, 1981 at the Macy United Methodist Church, Macy, Indiana he married Donna T. Dittman and she survives.
Dave had been an avid photographer since the age of sixteen working for his Dad and Mom at Fincher Photos, Inc, Peru, Indiana. After high school, he had worked at Topp Industries and Moore Business Forms. The majority of his professional career he owned and operated DeBruler Imaging with his wife Donna. An album of his work has been accepted for display at the International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Dave had been an active member of the Community Presbyterian Church, President of the Girls’ Softball League, Board member for the Brent Blacketor Sports Complex, Cub Scouts and Boys’ Scouts serving as Asst. Scout Master for Troop #219, Business Networking International, Geneva Center Board Member and the Rochester City Board of Works. He had also been a tireless supporter for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Fulton County Cancer Fighters, Inc. and enjoyed helping at “Camp-We-Can”. Dave also enjoyed camping, drag racing, loved being around people and most of all being “Pop” to his grands.
Survivors include his wife, Donna T. Fincher, Rochester, Indiana, children, Jason (Lindsay) Fincher, Rochester, Indiana, Sara (Rey) Garza Jr. St. Louis, Missouri, grandchildren, Gavin, Kinley and Nathan Fincher, all of Rochester, Indiana, Rosemary Garza, St. Louis, Missouri, brothers, Joseph “Ed” Fincher III (Donna), Rochester, Indiana, Paul (Sheryl) Fincher, Pasco, Washington, sister, Shelli Fisher, Rochester, Indiana, Father and Mother-in-Law, Harold and Mary Dittman, Rochester, Indiana, Adopted Dad, Jim Mills, Niles, Michigan, brothers and sisters-in-law, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday and one hour prior to service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Presbyterian Church or to Fulton County Cancer Fighters, Inc.
