Connie L. Hartman, 86, Logansport, Indiana, and longtime Fulton, Indiana resident, passed away at 9:12 P.M. Friday, December 15, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo, Indiana.
She was born on September 20, 1937 in Akron, Indiana, the daughter of Dencil and Edith (Sullivan) Walls. Connie graduated from Akron High School in 1955. On May 26, 1971, in Fulton, Indiana, she married Roy Hartman. He preceded her in death on August 10, 1977.
Connie started her professional career working for the Rochester Telephone Company as a switchboard operator. She served as Communications Operator for the Logansport State Hospital from 1978-1997 and retired from the Town of Fulton as Clerk/Treasurer after serving sixteen years. She had served as Precinct Committeeman for Liberty Township, was a member of the Fulton -Liberty Lions Club, attended the Rochester Church of Christ, and was an avid Colts Fan.
Survivors include her sons, Douglas (Tammerrie) Nolen, Logansport, Indiana, Howard (Tonya) Hartman, Macy, Indiana, stepson, LeRoy Hartman, Macy, Indiana, eight grandchildren, Bryce (Laura) Nolen, Brantley (Maria) Hartman, Paul (Stacey) Nolen, Brock (Selena) Hartman, Brady Hartman, Cloe (Sam) Bowers, Sarah Nolen, Naomi (Braiden) Farlow, two great- granddaughters, Wren and Rayna Hartman, brother, Donald (Sharon) Walls, Argos, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Jean DeTurk, and Doris Woolington.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Rochester Church of Christ, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday December 27, 2023 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana and one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will take place at the Kewanna I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Kewanna, Indiana.
