Charles M. Easton, 88, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 10:37 A.M. Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, Indiana.
He was born on December 30, 1933 in Rector, Arkansas, the son of Charles and Louise (Tyler) Easton. On July 1, 1953, in Hernando, Mississippi, he married Linda Lou Sommers and she survives.
Charles was an Auto Technician and had owned and operated Shell Service Stations in Kokomo, Indiana, South Bend, Indiana, Greentown, Indiana, Tipton, Indiana and Roselawn, Indiana. He had been a member and Elder at Christ Chapel and the Christian Center Church, South Bend, Indiana, and a member of the Gideon International. He had performed missionary work in Nepal and Honduras. Other than the love for his family, he was a dedicated fisherman, participating in many fishing tournaments, and enjoyed golf.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Easton, Rochester, Indiana, children, James A. Easton, Kokomo, Indiana, Jeffrey (Linda) Easton, Elkhart, Indiana, grandchildren, Michelle (Frank) Hilbert, Osceola, Indiana, January Easton, Muncie, Indiana, Lacey (Christopher) Sinnett, Washington D.C., Eric (Destiny) Easton, Edwardsburg, Michigan, Matthew Easton, Fort Wayne, Indiana, great- grandchildren, Angelica Sharp, Logan Hilbert, Peyton Hilbert, Austin Briscoe, Ethan Pharis, Elliana Sinnett, Easton Sinnett, Elias Sinnett, Chloe’ Leemon. Brother, Gene Easton, Kempton, Indiana, five great- great grandchildren, and sister, Cleta Bell, Amboy, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Lonnie Easton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Private graveside services will be conducted at the Springdale Cemetery, Bunker Hill, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Feed the Nations.
