Charlene Patton

Charlene Patton 74, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 7:59 A.M. Sunday, May 15, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on January 23, 1948 in Rensselaer, Indiana, the daughter of Reuben and Virginia (Bailey) Patton.  Charlene was one of twelve children. Her siblings included, Nancy Ward, Sarah Hoggan, Carol Anderson, Joyce Jacobs, Judy Carty, Melvine Grover, Linda McCarty, Norman Patton, Larry Patton, D.C. Patton, and Corbet Patton.

Charlene moved from Fort Wayne, Indiana to the Cardinal Services Group Home in Rochester, Indiana in 2012. Charlene enjoyed going back to Fort Wayne for Tincaps baseball games, where she would sit in the sun, have popcorn and enjoy a day at the ballpark. She enjoyed going for drives with the windows down on nice days, creating “positive rocks” where she painted rocks with positive messages and placed them around the community in special spots for others to find, going to the Tim Tebow “Night to Shine” dance where she was queen for the night and enjoyed the night of dancing and listening to music. She also enjoyed the Red Hat Society and going to Schnabeltier Winery for some of her favorite wines and cheeses.

Private graveside services will take place at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana. Arrangements by Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com
