Brian C. Weitzel 55, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 7:26 A.M. Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at his residence.
He was born on October 21, 1968 in Montpelier, Ohio, the son of James and Margaret (Mandler) Weitzel. On August 16, 2014 at the Athens Community Church, he married Melissa (Conwell) Beck and she survives.
Brian had worked in the construction industry working for Rochester Homes before currently being employed as a working supervisor for Whitley Manufacturing, Rochester, Indiana. He was a member of The Cross Church, where he belonged to Celebrate Recovery. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, foraging for mushrooms, plants and various fungus from nature and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Weitzel, Rochester, Indiana, children, Bryce Weitzel, Pierceton, Indiana, Reece Weitzel, Pierceton, Indiana, step-children, Emma Beck, Rochester, Indiana, Nathaniel Beck, Kentucky, Bronson (Elizabeth) Vanata, Indianapolis, Indiana,, Clifford Vanata, Fulton, Indiana, Maggie (Andrew) Rock, Twelve Mile, Indiana, seven grandchildren including Adrian Dale and Alexander Vanata who resided with him, father, James Weitzel, Rochester, Indiana, siblings, Benjamin Morris, Indiana, Hubert Morris, Iowa, Jackie Selleck, Butler, Indiana, James Weitzel, Florida, step-father, Richard Studebaker, Peru, Indiana, step-siblings, Stephanie Yeakley, Peru, Indiana, Missy Childers, Nashville, Tennessee, Richard Studebaker, Peru, Indiana, Ken Studebaker, Peru, Indiana, parent-in-laws, Sue (Mickey) Horn, Rochester, Indiana, Jeri Conwell, Rochester, Indiana, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Becky (Brian) Sweany, Rochester, Indiana, Michael (Tamara) McFarland, Rochester, Indiana, Matthew (Samantha) McFarland, Lafayette, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Studebaker in 2014, sister, Cherlynn Brooks in 2024, brother, David Morris, father-in-law, Terry Conwell and Step-father-in-law, Rev. Michael McFarland.
