Barbara J. Linsky 77, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 12:52 P.M. on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at her residence.
Barbara was born on June 23, 1946 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Alster and Berniece (Wilson) Fraser. After she graduated from Southside High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she worked at Magnavox in Columbia City, Indiana before becoming a self-employed seamstress. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and was proud to have been baptized in her Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of Columbia City.
Barbara enjoyed visiting the Senior Center to play dominoes and painting. She was an avid Elvis fan and was proud of her Scottish Heritage being a direct descendant of Castle Fraser in Scottland. A highlight in her life was visiting the Morman Temple in Utah.
Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Swanson, Rochester, Indiana, adoptive son, Lynden Swanson, Rochester, Indiana, grandchildren, Carol Swanson, Rochester, Indiana, Donald Bradley, Rochester, Indiana, Kira Abbott, Columbia City, Indiana, Ashley Linsky, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Hailee Linsky, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Rebecca Linsky, Fort Wayne, Indiana, seven great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, brother, Kenneth (Carol) Barnes, Boise, Idaho, sister, Karen (Dave) Smith, New Mexico. Preceding her in death were her parents, son, Timothy Linsky, daughter, Annette Linsky, brothers Scott Barnes and Rick Barnes.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to donor’s favorite charity. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com
