Rick J. Zimmerman Sr., 74, Syracuse, Indiana, formerly of Fulton and Rochester, Indiana, passed away Tuesday at his home.
He was the son of James W. and Marilee (Hatch) Zimmerman. He was married to Nancy Lee Walker in Rochester. He was co-owner of Zimmerman Brothers Funeral Home with his father and uncle.
He was a former member of Fulton Lions Club, Rochester Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, Rochester IOOF Lodge, Sons of American Legion, Rochester Kiwanis Club, Syracuse Eagles Lodge and Indiana Funeral Directors Association.
Survivors are wife, Nancy Zimmerman, Syracuse, Indiana, one son, Rick J. (Tori) Zimmerman Jr., Fort Thomas, Kentucky, one daughter, Ann T. Zimmerman, Fishers, IN, one granddaughter, Mallory Ann Zimmerman, Fort Thomas, Kentucky, three step-granddaughters, three sisters, Marilou (Duane) Holaday, New Palestine, Indiana, Kim (Julie) Zimmerman, Bloomington, Indiana, Kendra (Dave) Kuhn, Indianapolis, Indiana, brother-In-Law, John (Carol) Walker, Rochester, Indiana, sister-In-Law, Mary Lou (Tom) Bernett, Southern Pines, North Carolina and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents, brother-In-Law, Tom Leavell and sister-In-Law, Sue Walker Coffey Smith.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday April 28th at Zimmerman Brothers Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. A private service will be conducted later with Father Mike McKinney officiating. Internment at IOOF Cemetery will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Fulton County Animal Adoption and Education Center, Rochester or the Rick & Nancy Zimmerman Family Legacy Scholarship Fund via the Fulton County Community Foundation.
