Mary Jane Foley

Mary Jane Foley 96, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 4:00 P.M. Sunday May 26, 2019 at Solaris Nursing Home, Port Charlotte, Florida.

She was born on September 3, 1922 in Pulaski County, Indiana, the daughter of Henry A. and Etta J. (Shelhart) DePoy. On September 9, 1942 in Rochester, Indiana, she married Eugene Foley. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2011.

Mary Jane was co-owner of Foley Jewelers, Rochester, Indiana, for nearly fifty years. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church where she taught Junior Church for thirty years and served on the Board of Trustees. She enjoyed traveling all fifty states as well as some international travel. She also enjoyed reading.

Surviving are her daughter, Diana J. Welker, Warsaw, Indiana, two step-grandchildren, David V. (Kari) Welker, Goshen, Indiana and Joseph K. (Kelli) Welker, Plymouth, Indiana, eight step great grandchildren and six step great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, David Welker, sisters, Ethel (DePoy) Gerlock, Ruth (DePoy) DeWitt, nine brothers, John DePoy, Foster DePoy, Burlen DePoy, Ernest DePoy, Donald DePoy, Earl DePoy, Ralph DePoy, Robert DePoy, and Arthur Allen DePoy

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Saturday June 1, 2019 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 4-8 P.M. Friday and one hour prior to service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana.
