Larry VanLue Obituary

Larry N. VanLue 72, Hornbeak, Tennessee and formerly of Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 12:25 A.M. Saturday August 31, 2019 at his daughter’s residence in Hornbeak, Tennessee.

He was born on July 17, 1947 in Rochester, Indiana, the son of Robert D. and Verlie J. (Bradley) VanLue. On May 25, 1972 in Warsaw, Indiana, he married Marie E. Reiss. She preceded him in death on July 9, 2008.

Mr. VanLue, along with his father, had owned and operated a Painting Contracting business. He had also been a home builder, mechanic and plumber. In his spare time, he enjoyed ceramics, loved to garden, was an avid woodworker, and loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and will be remembered as a great dad and grandpa.

Survivors include his children, Lawrence A. (Carla) VanLue, Mississippi, Duane Van Lue, Kewanna, Indiana, Lisa (Jeff) Johnson, Hornbeak, Tennessee, Eric (Susan) VanLue, Macy, Indiana, Heather Floyd, Hornbeak, Tennessee, April (Andre) Downton, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Marie Catherine (Shannon) Colenburg, Lafayette, Indiana, seventeen grandchildren,  five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert E. VanLue, Marvin VanLue, Jerry Blanchard and sister, Phyllis Norman.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday September 4, 2019 at Mount Zion Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana. Arrangements by Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com
