Evelyn M. McFarland

Evelyn M. McFarland 80, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 5:04 A.M. Sunday June 2, 2019 at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, Indiana.

She was born on September 6, 1938 in Rochester, Indiana, the daughter of William Edgar and Edna Marie (Good) Swango. On August 12, 1957 in Rochester, Indiana, she married Lowell D. McFarland. He preceded her in death on January 5, 1997.

Mrs. McFarland had been a homemaker and had attended the First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed crocheting, following her favorite soap operas and doing puzzle books.

Survivors include her children, Sandra Clark, Rochester, Indiana, Arden (Debra) McFarland, Warsaw, Indiana, Virginia McFarland, Rochester, Indiana, Jean (Kent) Denny, Rochester, Indiana, Lee McFarland, Rochester, Indiana, Lori McFarland, Rochester, Indiana, grandchildren, Jack (Stephanie) Clark, Rochester, Indiana, Anna McFarland Seibold and husband Aaron, Wabash, Indiana, Malarie Denny and companion Elliott Corner, Rochester, Indiana, Alexander Denny, Rochester, Indiana, great grandchildren, Ashley Clark and Kaitlyn Clark, both of Rochester, Indiana, Alexia Seibold and Kaemon Seibold, both of Wabash, Indiana and Hadley Corner, Rochester, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Lisa S. McFarland in 1977, sisters, Virginia McFarland, Darlene Carpenter, Marie Flynn, brothers, Donald Eugene Swango, Fred Swango, Junior Swango, Earl Swango and William “Willie” Swango.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday June 5, 2019 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 4-7 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
