Devon Lyle Utter 71, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 12:27 P.M. Wednesday February 13, 2019 at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, Indiana.
He was born on March 6, 1947 in Rochester, Indiana, the son of Dean A.K. and Bernadine (Wilsey) Utter. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Devon worked for the former Sealed Power, Rochester, Walker Manufacturing, Culver, Indiana and retired from Rochester Heat Treat. He had been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and Eagles Lodge. Devon loved to care for his yard, gardening, going on vacations to the mountains, especially the Appalachian Mountains, and listening to Blue Grass, Country and Gospel music.
Survivors include his sons, Anthony (Sarah) Utter, Lupburg, Germany, Larry (Jessica) Utter, Covington, Texas, Dustin Utter, Rochester, Indiana, six grandchildren, sister, Diana Garrison, Rochester, Indiana, brother, Stanley Utter, Rochester, Indiana, companion, Vera Utter, Rochester, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Monte L. Utter, step-daughter, Marrianne Lyons, brother-in-law, Ken Garrison and sister-in-law, Joan Utter.
