Carl Dittfield Obituary

 

Carl E. Dittfield 75, Macy, Indiana, passed away at 4:26 P.M. Wednesday October 30, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on March 7, 1944 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the son of William Carl and Agnes May (Wheeler) Dittfield. He served with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. On July 26, 1976, in Rochester, Indiana, he married Nancy (Conrad) Klinefelter and she survives.

Mr. Dittfield retired from the Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo, Indiana. He had been a member of the Eagles Lodge and enjoyed fishing at his Nyona Lake residence, bowling, boat engine repair and having breakfast with his former co-workers from Chrysler.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy K. Dittfield, Macy, Indiana, children, Carla (Brian) Cardwell, Kokomo, Indiana, Bruce (Ashlie) Dittfield, Kokomo, Indiana, Karl Shane (Meredith) Dittfield, Kokomo, Indiana, Shelly (John) Moore, Carmel, Indiana, Megan Klinefelter Carson, Ohio, Verlin Klinefelter, Kewanna, Indiana, fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brother, Warren (Cindy) Dittfied, Salisbury, Maryland Joyce (Chester) Rogowski, Taylor, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Verne Dittfield, William “Bill” Dittfield, sister, Darlene Dittfield and a grandson.
