Betty Ann Stroud 59, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 5:52 P.M. Wednesday December 5, 2018 at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, Indiana.
She was born on May 24, 1959 in Rochester, Indiana, the daughter of Butch Bilby and Donna K. (Perkins) Bilby Rans. On December 24, 1990 in Rochester, Indiana, she married Thomas Stroud and he survives.
Betty had worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester and was a devout member of the Old Crossroads Baptist Church, Gilead, Indiana. In her spare time she enjoyed her rabbits, gardening, bowling, cooking, and camping, but most of all she cherished the time spent with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Stroud, Rochester, Indiana, children, Micheal (Dawn) Trigg, Macy, Indiana, Jason Trigg, Rochester, Indiana, step-children, Sandra Stroud, Osgood, Indiana, Tracy Stroud, Dallas, Texas, Christian Stroud, Dillsboro, Indiana, Patrick Stroud, Vevay, Indiana, Mathew (Shannon) Stroud, Moores Hill, Indiana, twenty four grandchildren, one great grandchild, brothers and sisters, Scott (Sheryl) Bilby, Akron, Indiana, Paula Moore, Rochester, Indiana, Patrick (Brandy) Bilby- Rochester, Indiana, Jon (LaDonna) Mitchell, Rochester, Indiana, George Rans, Plymouth, Indiana, Chuck Rans, El Paso, Texas, Beth Pinder, Rochester, Indiana, Jim (Melanie) Rans Jr., Grove City, Ohio, Cathy (Trent) Slavens, Rossville, Indiana, Kimmie (Jamie) Green, Rochester, Indiana, Kari Hewes, Fort Wayne, Indiana, several nieces and nephews who lovingly called her “Aunt Ducky”. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Danny Rans and step-son, Chris Trigg.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Monday December 10, 2018 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana, with Pastor Thad Stewart officiating. Visitation will be from 1-5 P.M. Sunday and one hour prior to service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Crossroads Baptist Church.
