Barbara A. Crall

Barbara A. Crall 72, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 3:50 P.M. Wednesday December 5, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Buffalo, New York on December 27, 1945 the daughter of William J. and Dorothy (Erdman) Kurz.

She married Richard D. Crall on May 31, 1969 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Rochester. He preceded her in death on August 26, 2012.

Barb received her B.S. in Nursing from Ball State University in 1970. Her passions were her family and the nursing profession. She timelessly raised three sons with her husband, and held various positions in pediatrics, surgical, and I.C. U. Nursing at several area hospitals. She also worked in skilled nursing care as Director of Nursing and charge nurse at several nursing homes in the local and surrounding area before retiring in 2011. She always took time to get to know her patients, both medically and personally. She always put people and patients first.

When not working or caring for her family, Barb loved to visit extended family and friends, attend local and area festivals and was an avid gardener. After retiring, she joined the Notables singing group.

Survivors include her children, Kevin Crall, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Nathan Crall, Rochester, Indiana, brother, Keith (Kathy) Kurz, Rochester, New York, nieces, Elena (Brett) Stiehler, Honeoye Falls, New York, Julia (Storey) Adams, Camas, Washington and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Matthew Crall and brother, Kirk Kurz.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday December 15, 2018 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from Noon to service time Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana.
