Robert J. "Bob" Loebig

Robert J. “Bob” Loebig 76, Rochester, Indiana passed away at 5:22 P.M. Monday, March 11, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on July 23, 1947 in Algona, Iowa, the son of Edmund J. and Maurine K. (Hansen) Loebig. After graduating from Rochester High School, Bob served with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. On June 27, 1986 in Rochester, Indiana, he married Vicki Carol (Torrence) Perdue. She preceded him in death on July 30, 2022.

Bob had worked for various companies over the years including, Sealed Power, Auto Tech, Airmarking, Fulton County Jail, Sonoco Products and O’Reilly Auto Parts Store. He had been a member of the Elks’ Lodge, Eagles’ Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. In his spare- time, he was avid golfer.

Survivors include his children, Kim (Norm) Benzing, Tampa, Florida, Robert Loebig II, Lewisville, Texas, step-children, Christy Perdue (Fiance’ Justin Pearson), Rochester, Indiana, David M. (Jordan) Perdue, Rochester, Indiana, grandchildren, Brogan , Joey “JoJo” and Jude Loebig, all of Lewisville, Texas, Kenzie Miller, Marion, Indiana, Madison Jackson, Rochester, Indiana, Mallory Benzing, Rochester, Indiana, Mitchell Benzing, Marion, Indiana, Evan Michael Perdue, Rochester, Indiana, Ethan Jay Perdue, Rochester, Indiana, Madysen Arcuri, Lafayette, Indiana, several great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Pam Loebig, Rochester, Indiana, brother-in-law, Nick Torrence, Costa Rica, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry Loebig and James Loebig.

Friends may visit from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Private interment will take place with military rites at a later date at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana.
