William Dean Fairchild, 79, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 12:15 P.M. February 28, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on January 24, 1938 in Logansport, Indiana, the son of William and Edna (Maxwell) Fairchild. On May 12, 1960 in Fulton, Indiana he married Patricia Joan Cripe, and she survives.

 Mr. Fairchild retired from Dean Foods in December of 2002 after thirty five years of service.  He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and camping.

Survivors include his wife Patricia J. Fairchild, Rochester, Indiana, children, Michael Fairchild, Rochester, Indiana, Nancy Fairchild, Macy, Indiana, Randy and wife Tarah Fairchild, Denver, Indiana, grandchildren, Jodi  (Fairchild)and husband Jason McMillen, Logansport, Indiana, Jamie (Fairchild) and husband Lee Sutton, Rochester, Indiana, step-grandaughter, Hope Townsend, Deedsville, Indiana, great-grandchildren, Ella McMillen and Lumen McMillen, both of Logansport, Indiana, step-great grandchildren, Alexandria Sutton and Blake Sutton, a future great grandchild arriving in August 2017, sister, Jeanne Eytcheson, Fulton, Indiana and nephew Jeff Eytcheson, Fulton, Indiana.  He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Carolyn Fairchild, brother-in-law, Jerry Eytcheson, and step-father, Clarence Rentschler.

Mr. Fairchild’s family will receive friends from 2-4 P.M. Saturday March 4, 2017 at the Solid Rock Church, 913 Main Street, Rochester, Indiana. Interment will take place at a later date at Mount Zion Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana. Arrangements by Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana.
