Lynda J. Wilkinson 72, Rochester, Indiana and formerly of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 1:25 P.M. Thursday December 1, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on January 3, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Garnet and Mary (Fries) Mills. On May 22, 1966 in Birmingham, Michigan, she married Lester Wilkinson and he survives.

Lynda graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Special Education. She had taught special education in the Kokomo Schools and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kokomo.

Survivors include her husband, Lester Wilkinson, Rochester, Indiana, son, Scott and wife Claudia Wilkinson, Terre Haute, Indiana, grandchildren, Whitney Wilkinson, Indianapolis, Indiana, Andres’ Calderon, Samantha Wilkinson, Marcus Wilkinson, all of Terre Haute, Indiana, Braedon Bandy, Megan Bell, both of Kokomo, Indiana, great grandchildren, Briley Safford, Kokomo, Indiana and Lillian Wilkinson, due to arrive this December. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Anne Bandy.
