Karen L. Coby 74, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 11:02 A.M. Wednesday November 29, 2017 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana.

She was born on June 15, 1943 in Plymouth, Indiana, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary Belle (Osborn) Kemble. On January 14, 1967 in Rochester, Indiana, she married Jay A. Coby and he survives.

Mrs. Coby retired from First Federal Savings Bank. She had been a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Culver, Indiana, Burton/Richland Center United Methodist Church and part of the Chain Gang at the Akron Public Library. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, visiting Indiana State Parks, fishing, water painting and after retiring enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include her husband, Jay L. Coby, Rochester, Indiana, son, John Coby and significant other, Oneida Fehring, Elgin, Illinois, sisters, Mary Ann and husband Jim Rowe, Culver, Indiana, Judy and husband Daryl Fisher, Plymouth, Indiana, brother, Rodney Kemple, Logansport, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Cindy Geiger.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday December 4, 2017 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 2-5 P.M. Sunday and one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Culver Masonic Cemetery, Culver, Indiana.
