Dale R. Carpenter, 82, Rochester, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord at 12:05 P.M. on Monday August 29, 2016 at Life Care Center of Rochester.

He was born on August 12, 1934 in Frankfort, Indiana, the son of Chester and Edna (Howell) Carpenter.

Mr. Carpenter was an avid Eagle collector.

Survivors include his daughter, Deb and husband Jeff Cloud, Rochester, Indiana, son, Vincent and wife Pam Carpenter, Rochester, Indiana, unofficial adopted son, Tim and wife Barb Hawkey, North Judson, Indiana, special niece, Latisha Crissinger, Rochester, Indiana, mother, Edna Carpenter, Rochester, Indiana, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, brother, James W. and wife Patsy Carpenter, Rochester, Indiana, sisters, Joan C. and husband Roy McClellan, Rochester, Indiana, Linda S. and husband Ron Towne, Nappanee, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Carpenter, sons, Robert Dale Carpenter, William Ray Carpenter, Roger Eugene Carpenter, grandson, Vincent Wayne Carpenter Jr., sisters, Naomi Furnivall and Marion Frances Carpenter.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday September 2, 2016 at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana, with Pastor Thad Stewart officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. Friday September 2, 2016 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dale Carpenter Memorial Fund.
