Carrie A. Williams 78, Rochester, Indiana, went home to Heaven at 4:30 A.M. Tuesday August 30, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on November 9, 1937 in Rochester, Indiana, the daughter of Byron E. and Priscilla Merle (Blacketor) Ginn. On October 23, 1960 at the First Baptist Church in Rochester, she married Donnie Williams and he survives.

Carrie, early in life, worked for Farmers and Merchants’ Bank in Rochester and for Webster’s Florist in Rochester, Indiana. When her children started school, she returned to work at the Caston Schools cafeteria, where she worked for many years. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church, Rochester, Indiana and had attended the Fulton United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid, and a was member of the Friendly Twelve Club. In her spare time she enjoyed oil painting, gardening, cooking and interior decorating.

Survivors include her husband, Donnie Williams, Rochester, Indiana, sons, Michael Williams, Los Angeles, California, Kip and wife Trish Williams, Calhoun, Georgia, grandchildren, Ben M. Williams, Brooke M. Williams and Bailey M. Williams, all of Calhoun, Georgia, sister, Joan and husband Larry Evans, Rochester, Indiana, sister-in-law, Shirley Brown, Rochester, Indiana, niece and nephews, Lynn and husband Joe Williams, Rochester, Indiana, Brent and wife Catherine Evans, Rochester, Indiana, Brenda and husband Steve Christian, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Pat and wife Jerri Brown, Rochester, Indiana and Perry Brown, Rochester, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday September 4, 2016 at the Fulton United Methodist Church, Fulton, Indiana with Revs. George Hapner and Roger Knebel officiating. Friends may call from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Saturday September 3, 2016 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana and one hour prior to service at the church on Sunday. Burial will be in the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or the Fulton United Methodist Church.
